UDI 2010-098V Requirement of subsistence - researchers with own funds

It is a requirement that the applicant has assured subsistence, cf. the Immigration Act section 58.

The applicant must have funds corresponding to maximum basic support for higher education from the State Educational Loan Fund (Lånekassen).

For the academic year 2026-2027 this corresponds to NOK 170 368. The basic  support is NOK 77 440 for the autumn semester in 2026 and 92 928 for the spring semester in 2027.

For the academic year 2025-2026 this corresponds to NOK 166 859. The basic support is NOK 75 845 for the autumn semester in 2025 and 91 014 for the spring semester in 2026.
